Tool Holders for Aerospace Machining
Precision machining solutions to increase tool life
A range of tool holders for aerospace machining and precision CNC applications, designed for component manufacturers who prioritize speed, precision, and tool longevity. At Arris Tooling, we have been designing such tool holders for aerospace machining for nearly a decade.
Our high-speed tool holders for aerospace machining are designed to work with a variety of milling machines across multiple interfaces, including HSK, and demanding materials like titanium and Inconel. We build holders that have low TIR (≤ 0.005 mm) and are exceptionally balanced (G2.5 at 25,000 rpm).Expect accurate milling, negligible chatter, and extended tool life.
We export our aerospace machining solutions to manufacturers in the US, the UK, Canada, Brazil, and Japan. We also supply them to businesses in the Middle East, from the UAE to Qatar.
When it comes to machining aerospace parts and aerospace components, the right tool holder can make all the difference.
Manufacturing Process of Our Tool Holders
Here at Arris Tooling, we manufacture a wide range of high-precision tool holders and aerospace tooling solutions across multiple shank interface types. Our solutions range from ER collets to hydraulic chucks and shrink-fit holders. While each tool holder is manufactured a little differently, they all pass through the following stages in their manufacturing journey.
Forging
Melting and shaping alloy billets into production-ready blanks.
Rough Cutting
Using subtractive processes to impart a rough geometry to the blanks.
Carburizing
Firing the rough-cut tools to increase material hardness and torque handling.
Machining
Turning the heat-treated rough blanks into actual tool holders using complex machining.
Inspecting
Examining every holder with precision gauges and a Mahr roughness tester to ensure they meet industry standards.

Our Range of Tool Holders for Aerospace Machining
Aerospace machining requires tools that are precise, especially at high speeds. At Arris Tooling, we provide a range of solutions for the same.
Weldon tool holders and face mill holders
These are instrumental in hogging operations. They remove large amounts of material from the billet and quickly bring it to a rough shape.
Hydraulic and Shrink-fit tool holders
These holders are fundamental for high-feed milling operations. Shrink-fits are ideal for use with short carbide shanks but perform equally well when paired with longer tools for reach. The hydraulic tool holders are great at eliminating vibrations and providing an excellent finish repeatedly.
ER Collet Chucks
A versatile holder, these are indispensable when it comes to light milling and drilling operations. Given their capacity to work with a range of shanks, ER collet chuck holders are an elementary addition to any aerospace machining setup.
